i'm 23 years older than my wife.
So if you're 70, then 70/2 = 35 + 7 =42.
You're 70, wife is 23 years younger, i.e. 47 so a good 5 years headroom, so to speak.

Age Appropriate Friends
by Riley inwe have a 25 year guy in our hall who is also a pioneer (which means he lives off his parents money), who likes to spend a lot of time with a 16 year old girl in the hall.
it is usually in a group setting but he seems to gravitate toward her.
he even has her auxilary pioneering , which is something i don't think any student trying to make the grades needs.

I thought the general formula to be age/2 + 7.
So in this case, 25/2 = 12.5 + 7 = 19.5.
She's 3.5ish years too young.

Revising History
by no-zombie inwhile i'm aware of wt books being revised without noting the differences on newer editions (the truth book is a classic example of this) ... is there evidence of the writing committee revising the online versions of wt articles, as compared to the printed editions?.

Today in the WT study, the brother reading the paragraphs was using a WT magazine (Sept 2024, page 10). When he read par 7 it says "Opposers attack our Bible based beliefs on morality, and on the disfellowshipping arrangement, claiming we are intolerant and cruel"
The digital version has been changed to "Opposers attack our Bible based beliefs on morality, claiming we are intolerant and cruel".
Neither the WT Study conductor nor anyone else made any mention of this.
In next to no time JW's will be asking if anyone has ever heard the term disfellowshipping!

Good news indeed. However, how many R&F JW's even know about the Norway situation? How many will remember AMIII and his (in)famous video where he said they would never change their D/F policy for any government?

but has the cult relaxed the rules recently?
Yes. A D/Fed person can be reinstated without having to wait for 6 months or whatever. They can be used as soon as they are back. We recently had a guy reinstated at the mid-week meeting and he was answering on the following Sunday. Within a couple of weeks he was on platform mic duties and roving mics.
Anyone who's conscience allows it can phone a D/Fed person and invite them to a meeting and people can greet them.
All this was spelled out in the re-written August 2024 Study WT but I'm sure you have better things to do in life than wade through all that, Stan!

Netflix Live Boxing Event

During the 1960's I watched a lot of boxing, Cassius Clay (as he was then), Henry Cooper, Sonny Liston etc. Then we had a WT article or assembly talk that said such violent entertainment was not for Christians. I was still at home so had to it up. Same with wrestling, 4 pm Saturday afternoon with Kent Walton.
